Light-Duty NGV Maintenance and Diagnostics Training

>>Back to Vehicle Training

This course prepares technicians to understand the operation, maintenance, diagnosis and repair of light- and medium-duty natural gas vehicles, including passenger cars, pick-up trucks, delivery trucks and box vans. Emphasis is placed on the safety knowledge and repair practices required for NGV technicians. The course covers multiple manufacturers’ systems, focusing on both common components and operational designs specific to a given manufacturer.

The course includes operational theory with hands-on exercises, use of DMMs, scan tools and other diagnostic equipment. This course will prepare technicians for the ASE F1 exam.

Who Should Attend:

  • Technicians with basic skills in non-NGV automotive repair who will need to maintain, diagnose and repair natural gas vehicles.
  • Technicians familiar with the basic driveability diagnostics for gasoline powered vehicles.

Educators:

Instructional staff members of colleges, universities, or similar private training organizations are not candidates to attend our individual classes but have numerous options for bringing NGVi's training classes to their campuses or facilities. For more information, contact us at 800-510-6484.
